P rogressive Cavity Pumps have premature failure issues. We have personally watched a major company almost lose an international deal because fine rubber particles were found in the product.

Wearing of the stator means fine rubber particles end up in the product. We helped them replace the pumps with new technology, restoring the contract… and just barely salvaged their reputation.

As guardians of beverage purity for three decades, we can safely say that twin-screw pumps won’t sap the juice out of your profits. In fact, if you don’t use it, one might say you have a screw loose.

Is it not time to reduce downtime, cost of ownership and contamination through innovation?

The truth is that you can’t actually afford a cheaper pump. We’ll explain what we mean by that in a short while. Here are some of the pain points that we think you may encounter with the wrong pump technology, which we’ll unpack further in our email series:

  1. Rubber in the product was never part of the recipe

Rubber in your product is like the proverbial fly in the soup. Nobody wants it anymore because it’s contaminated. It’s enough to make you lose your appetite. Would you like to sell your customer soup with a fly in it? More than likely, not.

  1. When your pump saps your profits - screw it

There should be no friction between the moving parts of your pump. Luckily, this is not a problem a twin-screw pump would have to deal with (if you have one). Pumping your juice should be a non-contact sport.

  1. Your low priced pump will end up surprisingly expensive - truth

Taking into consideration downtime, running costs, maintenance, loss of reputation and time wasted in general, an “inexpensive” pump quickly becomes a financial liability when it shoots the TCO through the roof! Too much admin when things go wrong, as well as being an operational nightmare.

  1. Your pump is the beating heart of your plant

Nobody wants a cheap pacemaker so why be thrifty with the pump you use? A good pump can be relied on to keep things moving. The heart of your business should be the best quality that you and your consumer deserve.

  1. No nonsense, no rubber, no drama

It’s not just a pump that you need, it’s the right solution for your unique application. You can’t just copy and paste with any pump. And moreover, you’ll want a good pump that comes with the right expertise and support you’ll need to keep it pumping efficiently.
