I f you’re using an old pump there’s a better way to get things done. Older tech makes you more vulnerable to noncompliance. Consistency and repeatability result in a superior final product and with older tech, this isn’t a given.
With old tech, compliance with cGMP standards simply can’t be taken for granted, in fact, cGMP seems to be designed to drive new technology and leave inefficient technology behind.
Having another option available would be great. Having the latest and greatest tech would be even better. As someone interested in finding creative solutions for difficult applications and processes, I can appreciate the value of mutually beneficial relationships between equipment manufacturers and end-users.
Here is a list of pain points that I will be unpacking later on in my email series:
- The menu-driven interface you’re using is cumbersome
If configuring your pump takes time and isn’t intuitive you’re already lacking efficiency.
You should have an interface as easy to use as your smartphone. It’s a cliche, but time really is money wasted.
- No Stepper Motor? No Precision
If the ideal is maintaining product integrity, a precise digital instrument would be the solution.
A traditional brushless DC motor may drift, which would never happen with a stepper motor. Don’t settle.
- Are you 100% oil-free?
In a hyper sterile environment, even the smallest risk of oil contamination should be avoided.
Every gearbox uses oil. New tech has eliminated the gearbox, so should you.
- You can’t download precise data onto your desktop
With old tech, there’s no recordkeeping functionality, no traceability of process changes.
If you lose a batch and can’t trace where something went wrong you may lose another.
- Old tech is an eyesore
Would you be proud to showcase your current tech to your peers? Probably not.
For a shiny new solution you would want to show off and one that deals with all the issues listed above, contact a partner you can trust.
