UK WHOLESALERS

The Whole World is Waiting
International Clients are within reach

Thought Leader:

In the past 30 years I have been selling, selling and selling some more... marketing runs in my veins.

If I hear the word “BREXIT” one more time…

Now you've left the EU, are you ready to get out of the UK? You have two choices: sit in sadness and cry over a pint on zoom with your best mate with Sky News in the background. Or... realise that overseas customers can make decisions to buy your products quickly... assuming they know you and trust you.

Many international retailers and distributors have spent a fortune going online. They need to justify their expense so they are out there right now LOOKING for something different, innovative, cheaper more effective, you name it. They WANT to grow and expand and if they’re like you, you might just be onto something.

For 30 years I have lived and breathed sales. Marketing runs through my veins. I have seen companies rocket to the top, simply by nurturing key international markets.

You can reach out and touch people overseas with your products and services, but they will completely ignore you. First you need a reputation. The process to cement your reputation rests on a few pillars.

Pillar 1: If they don't know you personally, forget it

Prospective customers don't care about your product - they first need to know "Can I trust you?". If you go in and try to sell something to someone without first establishing your reputation in the industry, you will fail.

Pillar 2: Get niche and specific... or stay back home in the UK

The world is a big place. You have many options. People won’t take you seriously unless you show them that you are specific and calculated in your approach. I call this “demonstrating professional insight.”
Pillar 3: Your company needs a go-getting sales culture

Producing products to sell overseas is not enough - you need evangelists! The people in your organisation have to have the WILL to get your products in the hands of the right people overseas. This requires diligence. If your company needs one skill to reach these markets, it’s diligence.

Pillar 4: Start building those relationships NOW

Waiting for things to really open up or for Brexit to "sort itself out" will turn you old and grey. You should be out there building relationships with key retailers and distributors now. Don’t wait.
