O ur resources are running out and the environment is suffering. The growth potential for sustainable and renewable solutions is massive, and soon it won’t just be a nice-to-have but an absolute necessity to survive.

Companies providing products and services in this space have an opportunity to impact not just this generation, but generations to come….

The world needs sustainability super heroes just like you.

For 20 years I have worked alongside incredible companies, helping them to catch the wind, propelling them forward for planet-wide impact.

So, let’s generate some energy and solar-charge your bottom line...

  1. Focus the sun where it counts

Trying to be all things to all people will exhaust your energy reserves. You’ll have a greater chance of success if you take the time and really identify who your ideal customers are, whether it’s by industry, business size or location. Who are the 30-50 people in the country you need to get in front of?
  1. Shine your (LED) light brightly

Telling people about your wins builds credibility and trust. Do you have testimonials from your raving fans? Have you got case studies from successful projects? They already know they need to go sustainable… now they need to go sustainable with you.
  1. Sow and you shall reap

If you hard sell with pushy messages, you risk getting a blunt in-your-face reply telling you just what you can do with your sales pitch. It’s better to gently add value to someone’s life before asking them to buy something, showing them that you are someone credible that gets their pain. There are better ways to sell green… without hard-selling.
  1. Single contact is as deplorable as single use

Don’t treat your contacts like an Evian bottle… use them once then throw them away. It’s been reported that 60% of customers say no 4 times before saying yes. If you only contact a lead once or twice, you could be losing sales. Are you sustainably nurturing your contacts so they get to trust, know and then like you?
  1. Not all solar panels are equal

...and not all leads and business contacts are equal. The more someone has engaged with you personally, the more likely they are to buy from you personally. Do you prioritise your leads and cherry pick those most likely to become customers?

It’s high time to renew your efforts, maximise your resources, gently nurture a credible list of key people you want to do business with and THEN build a truly sustainable business to change the world.
